Management Team

Enza Construction is managed by a dynamic team of go getters with extensive experience in the construction industry and a passion to build. Here's a quick introduction to the management team of Enza.

Rowan founded Enza Construction in 2003 with his brother Clinton Crowie. Rowan has successfully managed a number of property development and project management companies under the Crowie Holdings banner. He has a B.SC in Construction Management as well as 28 years of hands - on experience in the construction industry. Rowan is a firm believer in developing and growing empowered teams and he leads Enza Construction with entrepreneurial ingenuity. Rowan sits on the boards of Crowie Holdings, as well as sitting on the Council of the South African Council for Projects and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP).

Clinton is a founding member of Enza Construction and started his career as the Managing Director of the project management division of Crowie Holdings, Focus Project Management. Since then, Clinton has held a number of key positions within the business and currently heads up the Enza Plus division, which is focused on design and build projects. He has recently managed the private party operations for the R1.3 billion Statistics SA PPP in Pretoria. Clinton boasts a track record of iconic projects such as the Wesbank / FNB Campus and the MTN Corporate Offices in Fairlands. He also managed projects internationally such as the Harrods in London, and the Levy Junction Mixed Use Development in Zambia. Clinton has a BSc Construction Management degree (UND) and an MBA (GIBS).

Thandeka has over 16 years of experience in the Construction, Power & Energy and Gaming industry having started her professional career as a Quantity Surveyor. A passion for implementing change led to her pursuing a career in transformation and her areas of specialty include Transformation Strategy (development and implementation), Supplier Development and Localisation, BBBEE compliance and Stakeholder engagements (building relationships and initiating CSI initiatives in communities within which Enza operates). Some of the projects that Thandeka has worked on includes the Medupi and Kusile power station projects and the Sibaya Casino and Suncoast development projects.

Javan holds a B.Com (Accounting) degree from the University of the Western Cape as well as a B.Com (Honors) (Accounting) degree from University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Having served his articles at BDO Spencer Steward, Javan qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2008. He later served in various finance and management positions within Sasol and Aveng where his experience was focused on areas of technical accounting matters, financial management and risk management. Holding an advanced diploma in Organizational Leadership, Javan has also worked closely on various due diligence projects involving strategic investment acquisitions and business combinations.

Navisha holds a B. Paed degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and is both an accredited Skills Development Facilitator and Coach. She has over 17 years of experience working in specialist areas of Human Resources Development, Skills Development and Transformation and has worked closely with SETA's, governmental/legislative and training/quality assurance bodies. Navisha joined Enza Construction in 2012 as the Human Resources Executive and has overall accountability for Enza's Human Resources functionality. Prior to this, Navisha was the Head of People Development with Liberty Life.

Coen joined Enza in 2016 to head up the recently established Civils division. He has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry having worked at listed construction companies, Grinaker-LTA, Group Five and Sanyati; he brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge. In addition to Coen's roads experience for clients such as N3TC and Sanral, he has successfully completed roads projects for the Swaziland Government. His extensive knowledge of runway rehabilitation has enabled him to lead and execute bids at King Shaka, OR Tambo and the Hosea Kutako airport in Namibia. His recent responsibilities at Group Five included heading up Cosmos Asphalt and the rehabilitation of mine dumps for Samancor.

Garth has been with Enza Construction for just over 5 years and has over 27 years of construction experience. He previously worked at WBHO on the Emerald Casino and the Zurich Offices in Johannesburg. He then joined Rainbow Construction as a director where he was responsible for projects such as the Park Station Redevelopment, the World Wear Shopping Centre and the refurbishment to Benmore Shopping Centre. Garth now manages the operations for the Inland division of Enza Construction. Garth has a B.SC in Building Management as well as a B.Comm degree.

Rakesh is a seasoned construction specialist with just over 30 years of experience in quantity surveying and contract management. He has a Higher Diploma in Quantity Surveying and joined Enza in March 2016. Prior to this, Rakesh worked at Aveng-Grinaker LTA, where he was the commercial manager on major projects such as the Bridge City Precinct, the development of the Suncoast Casino, and the Bridge City Rail Link. Rakesh is now the Commercial Manager at Enza Construction Coastal Division and has been responsible for the recently completed Botshabelo Shopping Centre for Stanlib in the Free State.

Carl joined Enza Construction in 2012 as the Commercial Manager of the Inland division. Carl is very attention to detail focused which stands him in good stead in his role. Prior to joining Enza Construction, Carl worked at WBHO on the Emerald Casino development and the Zurich Offices in Johannesburg and then Rainbow Construction as the Commercial Manager. Since joining Enza, Carl has been involved in a number of Design and Build schools for the Gauteng Department of Education, and the recently completed Statistics SA PPP.

Bradley has over 20 years of experience in construction and has been with Enza since 2003. Bradley has a National Diploma in surveying and currently heads up the Estimating team within the Coastal division. Bradley was previously a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Enza on the ABSA Towers Main and the Lillipark Office Development. Bradley uses his Quantity Surveying background to ensure that Enza remains competitive in tenders at the Coastal Division.

Bennie is a stalwart in the industry having commenced his career in 1982 as an Estimating Assistant with the then, LTA Building. His drive and eagerness to develop himself has led Bennie to Enza Construction where he now heads up estimating for the Inland division.

Gopi started his career in civil engineering consulting. Thereafter he joined Group Five Property Developments where he served as a Development Director and was responsible for all aspects of deal origination, risk management, concept formulation, funding arrangements and construction implementation for a variety of residential, retail, industrial and commercial developments. He then joined NURCHA, a multinational development finance institution and was responsible for business development and growth of the lending and programme management portfolios. In his current role within Crowie Developments, he oversees various development and investment opportunities locally and cross border. Gopi holds a BSc.Eng, MSc.Eng and an MBA from Wits Business School.
