Management Team

Enza Construction is managed by a dynamic team of go getters with extensive experience in the construction industry and a passion to build. Here’s a quick introduction to the management team of Enza.

ROWAN CROWIE

EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN


Rowan founded Enza Construction in 2003 with his brother Clinton Crowie. Rowan has successfully managed a number of property development and project management companies under the Crowie Holdings banner. He has a B.SC in Construction Management as well as 28 years of hands – on experience in the construction industry. Rowan is a firm believer in developing and growing empowered teams and he leads Crowie Holdings with entrepreneurial ingenuity. Rowan sits on the boards of Crowie Holdings, and the School of Construction Economics and Management Industry Advisory Board with the University of Witwatersrand.

CLINTON CROWIE

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER


Clinton Crowie is a founding member of ENZA Construction (Pty) Ltd and started his career as the Managing Director of FOCUS, which was the project management division of Crowie Holdings. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Enza Construction. Prior to this Clinton was Divisional Head of ENZA Plus, the Design and Construction division within the ENZA group. Clinton boasts a track record of having worked on many iconic projects such as the Wesbank / FNB Campus, the MTN Corporate Offices in Fairlands and the R1.3 billion Statistics SA PPP in Pretoria. He has also managed international projects such as the Harrods in London, and the Levy Junction Mixed Use Development in Zambia. Clinton has a BSC Construction Management degree (UND) and an MBA (GIBS).

TYRON ROBINSON

OPERATIONAL DIRECTOR


Tyron career spans 30 years into the built environment within South Africa and other SADC countries. Having started as a Bursar with Grinaker in 1990, he progressed his career to the General manager of the Building Business within Grinaker – LTA.
Tyron held a Non- Executive Director position at Rehm Grinaker in Mauritius whilst also having a responsibility to ensure oversight of the management function acting as the controlling shareholder. He holds a NHD: Building Surveying from WITS and has undertaken various executive management courses.

OPERATIONAL DIRECTOR


Tyron career spans 30 years into the built environment within South Africa and other SADC countries. Having started as a Bursar with Grinaker in 1990, he progressed his career to the General manager of the Building Business within Grinaker – LTA.

DAVE LOFTHOUSE

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER: ENZA CONSTRUCTION


Dave is a seasoned financial specialist with over 25 years of construction financial experience. After completing his National Diploma in Accountancy at the Witwatersrand Technikon, Dave joined LTA as an Internal Auditor and progressed to Financial Manager of the Building & Civil Plant division. Dave has since worked at Murray & Roberts and Stefanutti Stocks in senior financial positions. In 2010 he was appointed as the Financial Director of Stefanutti Stocks Housings and subsequently Financial Director of the merged Building Inland and Housing entities where he had overall responsibility for the finances of a R1.5bn business. As Dave’s career indicates, he has an expansive and diverse skill set within the construction industry however his passion lies with the fast moving, entrepreneurial landscape of the Housing industry.

HR & MARKETING DIRECTOR


Navisha holds a B. Paed degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and is both an accredited Skills Development Facilitator and Coach. She has over 20 years of experience working in specialist areas of Human Resources Development, Skills Development and Transformation and has worked closely with SETA’s, governmental/legislative and training/quality assurance bodies. Navisha joined Enza Construction in 2012 as the Human Resources Executive and has overall accountability for Enza’s Human Resources functionality. Andiswa is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and a Professionally Registered Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. She has over 10 years experience in the construction industry, having spent a number of years working on sites in various parts of South Africa. She is passionate about the role that the construction industry plays in building communities. Her qualifications include a BSc Honours Degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and an Associate in Management Qualification from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business.

PROCUREMENT DIRECTOR

ALI NAIDU

DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR: SPECIALISED PROJECTS


Ali has 35 years industry experience having held various leadership roles in companies such as PD Naidoo & Associates where he was the CEO, as well as Mott Mac Donald Africa, where he led the Africa Division.
He is the former President of SAICE (2010), and has sat on a number of boards such as CIDB. He holds both a BSC in Civil Engineering and a Post Graduate Diploma.

ALI NAIDU

DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR: SPECIALISED PROJECTS


Ali has 35 years industry experience having held various leadership roles in companies such as PD Naidoo & Associates where he was the CEO, as well as Mott Mac Donald Africa, which he led the Africa Division.
He is the former President of SACE (2010), and has sat on a number of boards such as CIDB. He holds a BSC in Civil Engineering, a PGD: Engineering.

DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR: ENZA PLUS


Reon joins the business with over 22 years of experience in the construction industry, having recently managed the Western Cape Region of Concor Construction. Prior to this Reon was Contracts Director at Aveng Grinaker – LTA from 2009-2019. He has managed multiple major projects exceeding R 2bn in value and has a specialist capability and track record developing Data Centres. Reon has the ability to manage and operate in multi-disciplinary environments and manage successful teams, with a proven ability to develop meaningful client relationships. Reon holds a BSc Civil Engineering (Hons) from the University of Natal.

Garth has been with Enza Construction for just over 8 years and has over 27 years of construction experience. He previously worked at WBHO on the Emerald Casino and the Zurich Offices in Johannesburg. He then joined Rainbow Construction as a director where he was responsible for projects such as the Park Station Redevelopment, the World Wear Shopping Centre and the refurbishment to Benmore Shopping Centre. Garth now manages the operations for the Inland division of Enza Construction. Garth has a B.SC in Building Management as well as a B.Comm degree.

DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR: INLAND


Richard Amm has more than 25 years of experience in construction management having started his career as a Bursar student with Grinaker LTA in 1993. 

Richard has been involved with and managed various construction projects of varying size and complexity from a value of R 4 million to R 1.75 billion.  He has experience on projects in the commercial, industrial, leisure and entertainment industries which includes working on projects such as hospitals, breweries, large commercial office developments, shopping centres, casino developments and hotels. Richard has a B.SC Building Science degree from Wits University.

 

RICHARD AMM

DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR: INLAND


Richard Amm has more than 25 years of experience in construction management having started his career as a Bursar student with Grinaker LTA in 1993. 

Richard has been involved with and managed various construction projects of varying size and complexity from a value of R 4 million to R 1.75 billion.  He has experience on projects in the commercial, industrial, leisure and entertainment industries which includes working on projects such as hospitals, breweries, large commercial office developments, shopping centres, casino developments and hotels.

Richard has a B.SC Building Science degree from Wits University.

COEN NAICKER

DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR: CIVILS


Coen joined Enza in 2016 to head up the Civils division. He has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry having worked at listed construction companies, Grinaker-LTA, Group Five and Sanyati; he brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge. In addition to Coen’s roads experience for clients such as N3TC and Sanral, he has successfully completed roads projects for the Swaziland Government. His extensive knowledge of runway rehabilitation has enabled him to lead and execute bids at King Shaka, OR Tambo and the Hosea Kutako airport in Namibia. His recent responsibilities at Group Five included heading up Cosmos Asphalt and the rehabilitation of mine dumps for Samancor.
